FAQ
Short answers to the questions people ask first.
#Do holders put money into the perp?
No. The perp is funded by the coin's own creator fees, never by holders. Holders buy and sell the coin as normal.
#Can the creator take the fees?
Today, yes: a coin launched through Perpy pays its creator fees to the creator's wallet, like any Pons coin, until the creator moves it onto its vault. In vault mode, no: the fees go to the vault and the creator earns 15% of real perp wins. The coin page shows the current fee recipient, read from Pons.
#Which wallets work?
Any browser wallet that announces itself to the page: MetaMask, Rabby, Coinbase Wallet, Phantom, Brave, Trust, OKX and others. The site never sees a key. It asks the wallet to sign one transaction.
#What if the position is liquidated?
Its margin is gone and the loss goes in the loss book. The vault keeps claiming fees, splits them again, and opens a new position if there is enough margin.
#Why a loss book?
So a coin never pays out profit on a lucky streak while an earlier loss is still unaccounted for.
#Why isolated margin?
So that the worst case of one position is its own margin. It cannot reach the reserve, the buyback or other coins.
#Can I change a coin's preset?
No. The market, side, leverage and preset are set at launch and locked.
#Does the coin need $PERPY?
No. The token is not needed to launch, hold or trade a Perpy coin. See the token page.
#Which chain?
Robinhood Chain (chain id 4663), through Pons.
#Where are the numbers from?
Every figure on these pages comes from the engine in the page's own source. The tests assert the fee split, the liquidation formula and the trigger table.
